Squalane for hair.

Lately, the word “Squalane” has been popping up in the beauty industry. You’re shopping and you come across 100% Squalane Oil and you’re now wondering what is it, what is it good for, where can I use it, is it organic, why is it sometimes spelled with an e and most importantly can I use it in my hair? First of all, it’s important to know that Squalane and Squalene are not the exact same thing, Squalene is a natural substance found in the sebum of mammals and plants, whereas Squalene is a more stable hydrogenated version of the Squalene.

Now that we know we know the basics, it's time to get to the good stuff.

So the long story short is that it's very moisturizing, absorbs easily, and prevents moisture loss. If you are looking for a simple and effective way to moisturize your dry ends and help prevent breakage use a small amount in the palm of your hand and massage it onto the ends of your hair. You can also use it on your scalp as it is lightweight and doesn't clog up your pores.

What are the best Squalane oils or products for hair?

BIOSSANCE 100% Sugarcane Squalane and THE ORDINARY100% Plant-Derived Squalane  both are vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free and don't weigh the hair down.

So that's the  scoop on Squalane if you want to switch things up a bit and try a different moisturizer for your hair give Squalane a try.
